ABOUT US PREVIOUS FUTURE RECORDINGS CONTACT US

Illumination is an a capella choir of between 15 and 20 singers  formed in 2006 by the composer Miriam Mackie to perform music by living composers alongside established repertoire from the high renaissance and early baroque periods.

London concert venues have included St James's Piccadilly, the Unitarian Chapel Hampstead and St Giles in the Fields.  Illumination has also performed in  Deddington in rural Oxfordshire. In the summer of 2011 they gave two concerts in Liguria in association with the Meljon singers.

The choir rehearses  in central London and has five or six rehearsals for each concert.

Janette Ruocco joined us as musical director  in May  2009.

We  perform two, one hour concerts and one full length concert a year. In addition, we have an away venue in the summer and hope to give more concerts in Europe.

We would  welcome  other experienced singers.Good sight reading skillls are important, as is the ability to blend in a small ensemble-for details see
